How To Turn Your Ideas Into Content Marketing

Content Marketing Is As Easy As Teaching Yourself What You Already Know

Content marketing is the result of your ideas explained. That's it.

The more clarity you have in putting these ideas in the digital realm, the more effective it is. AND better yet, if you can expand on one simple concept into a massive extrapolation of information the better.

However, ask yourself...will it be useful?

Most business owners get stuck in how to turn ideas into content marketing, when it really has to do with what you already know!

If the answer is yes, that particular piece of content will be one of the most effective channels to generate leads and build authority in your business niche.

Think of content marketing as a way to show your expertise about something someone is searching for.

You are the champion of their solution if you offer a perspective they have never even thought of before.

You can dramatically change their lives with just a little insight in what you are creating as content.

Some people may think that content creating is about writing, and thus fall into writer's block.

Drill Into Your Expertise and Explain the PASSION

One time, I went to an MMA gym to see a client, and they were explaining how much of a hassle Social Media Marketing is.

"I don't see anyone ever come to use the gym that was compelled by Social Media..."

Upon reviewing their Social Media feeds, most of the posts were videos and photos of their daily classes asking for the business.

I explained to him that he should look into writing something more in depth as to why these customers are using their services.

Some clients in the photos are taking the classes to learn self defense, others are doing it to be healthy, others are looking to get muscle tones in their bodies, etc.

"Did you ever feel any of these as a motivation to get started in MMA?"

"Feature that in your social media...in detail!"

"How to throw the first punch, how Ju Jitsu helps build your core, how Kickboxing makes your legs toned, etc."

Suddenly, the creativity gates open and the content just began flowing.

That one piece can expand from a simple photo, to a video, to a full written blog post with techniques and tips.

Now you are championing these ideas, and your clients see you have the authority in these concepts and feel compelled to use your services, because you know what you're talking about!

How to Stay Motivated when Facing Conflict

There are two realities we all face when you try to achieve your goals. The reality of what the world demands from you, and the world you know you have to create for yourself. Motivation puts you back in place for the latter, but what do you do when the mundane world you live in is dragging you back. Here is how to stay motivated when facing conflict.

We all have felt the true versions of ourselves...

You feel a certain motivation every once in a while. And it feels incredible. You feel like you can do just about anything in life.

All your goals and dreams are laid out in front of you and you have to pass on the baton to the better version of you to achieve them.

The light glimmers in your eyes and you are fully focused on the future you are about to create.

It's within grasp, you just have to keep at it...

Then the next day the feeling is all gone, and you have to go run errands...

Let's face it, when it comes to success, motivation just isn't around for the long run.

It just appears to remind you that you have these aspirations.

Conflict causes the friction that dissolves your motivation as you begin to be reminded of the day-to-day run of the mill that life really is.

So why is it that we are tapped into motivation for such a small amount of time?

Well, the game of success is really the JOURNEY of your inner conflict towards resolution.

That's where the real challenge lies. That constant hurdle of obstacles getting in your way of getting things done.

Achieving Goals is a Game of Willpower, and Motivation Recharges the Battery to your Controller.

Life gets complex, and bombards us with distraction. Multiple options of what you could be doing piles up easily and conveniently in front of you. Time is running short in everything we want to really do.

And all this stuff succumbs you to being distracted from who you really are.

The better version of you getting it all done.

What is Motivation?

The reason motivation is so powerful is because of all the clarity you gain to achieve your aspirations.

It is a moment of truth, and aligns you with your better self.

You have the real goal and every single step laid out in front of you so vividly that it becomes so easy to achieve if only it lasted for a long time.

So how do we get this feeling over and over as we face friction?

Reverse Engineer Motivation

Motivation is clarity, reiterate on making your goals as vivid as possible. Every single step you must take, start from the end and work back until you find the right step to get started on next.

If you ever feel like your motivation is diminishing because of how reality is pulling you away from your ideal reality, practice to refocus on how your life could be different if only you did the things you wanted to do to make that change.

Self sabotage yourself into realizing that your goals will change your life if you start going against the grain.

Become aware and realize this is the friction that you must go through to get to the change you want.

Mind Control is the Result of Self-Discipline and Habit. You Either Control Your Mind or It Controls You. There is No Hallway Compromise - Napoleon Hill

This is not easy to do. And that's just the way it is. The friction will always be there. Your willpower WILL diminish.

But what if you could start putting things into place that assists you in the process?

What sequences can you put in your life that will ASSURE you to make the right decisions when the difficulty level starts to go up.

As soon as you wake up do you have your to-do list ready? Are your running shoes next to your bed? Did you pre-plan your meals for the whole week?

These little details all add up to streamlining your motivation throughout.

Your motivation should include the future you in it, not just the now you.

How to Create Value in 4 Easy Steps

Step 1. Ask Yourself, What is Value Anyway?

Value defined in the dictionary jumps around these concepts: relative worth, utility, or importance, a good value at the price, a fair return or equivalent in goods, services, or money for something exchanged or the monetary worth of something.

But still, I feel these definitions don't amount to what really is value.

Attempting to define value reveals itself to be a variable concept. It is defined differently by different people.

In other words, the end result of providing value, is what defines value.

Value really is the psychology of the person receiving it. It is a group of ideas. A perception.

Value by itself does not exist. It's a composition of Psychology that is imprinted into individual definitions; and on circumstances.

Also understanding value can reveal what can be aggregated to a group of people, a community of people, and even entire nations.

So defining what value really is becomes a Catch 22: you define value, by getting value.

Now that we recognize this paradox, let's move to the next step.

Step 2. Recognize that the Concept of Value is Elusive

Defining value on its own is something that your own intuition and awareness can decipher.

Identifying value is a process of Discovery.

And the more attuned you are in how elusive it really is, the easier it is to spot.

So if you were to develop a product or service you need to go in-depth to discover what it is you really are providing.

Business owners focus on what their product and/or service is, instead of the solution it gives to the customer.

Step 3. Develop Your Skill of Drilling for Definitions of Value

There is a gap between what your customer wants and what you are capable of providing them.

The better you are at communicating what that gap is, the more likely your ideal customer is going to buy your product or service.

If you are not a well branded product, for example like Apple, you would then have to write and come up with a well thought out marketing strategy to deliver that message more clearly to them.

And this is where creating value really comes into play.

Look at your product or service and you define every single detail, benefit and solution that it can provide to your customer.

And the more details, benefits, and solutions you can define the more your customers can identify themselves with it.

So now that Catch 22 becomes a win-win scenario: creating the identity of your product or service allows the customer to identify with it.

The customer has to convince themselves that whoever is creating this product understands who they are.

Customers don't like to be sold; they like to buy.

Step 4. Create Messages for the Customer Avatar

In Business, it's important to develop what marketers call a Customer Avatar.

A Customer Avatar is somone that you would like to communicate to in order to convey what result they can expect from your product or service.

And the more detailed you are in creating your Customer Avatar, the better you will be at creating value.

Because you are furthering the definition of how to create value when you write your marketing messages for them.

If a customer can understand the message of the result that they can expect from the product alone, there is no denying that is a valuable product or service for them.

The benefits focuses more on the solution that a customer wants.

What can take away their pain, their concerns, and what can amplify their experience, or achieve their aspirations.

And the more in-depth you are in defining theses through to your marketing messages, the more you are able to convey their desired result.

Effective marketing messages allows the customer to discover what it is that they're looking for.

If you are capable of explaining, defining or clarifying what the customer wants better than they can define it; the more effective your marketing will be.

Because it is displaying you can identify the elusive concept of value and create it in ways that resonate with them alone.

The Speed of Implementation

All Ideas are Gifts from your Personal Creativity. Taking Action is how you Unwrap them.

If you believe in your idea, the most important game is to get yourself to start right now.

All obstacles, hesitation and factors of resistance are imaginary.

The speed of implementation is the start of your idea becoming reality.

One great way to get started with the most momentum is to have the ending in mind, and viewing each step you need to take in reverse. Then start on the most practical step you can do RIGHT NOW.

Taking action in your idea is like making an investment. And that investment will grow over time.

The Best time to Plant a Tree was 20 Years ago, the Second Best Time is Today. -Chinese Proverb

The more time your idea is planted into the real world, the more time it has to grow.

Even if the idea turns out to not be the right one, the experience of getting started is invaluable.

Getting started is one of the most important skills you can have as an entrepreneur.

Constantly getting started on something allows you to gain access to its opportunities.

But there is another game once you start to take action. And that is to continuously invest in it and nurture it.

Your Business Idea is the Seed, Your Legacy is the Tree.

Success does not come to fruition overnight, it is the journey of making an idea manifest that brings the most fulfillment after getting started.

However, everyday you invest in making your idea come true, you will face that resistance again over and over.

And one slip in consistency can be the catalyst for everything you've worked on to go in shambles.

The name of the game is building a brand new habit.

This new habit is the water for your seed.

Learning to constantly water your ideas is how you gain the skill of the Speed of Implementation.

Master Your Business and Think like an Artist

"Learn the Rules Like a Pro, so you Can Break Them Like an Artist" - Pablo Picasso

Everything done while conducting the daily tasks of starting or running a business is essentially a path towards mastery.

And in the same way how Artists turn into pros.

Any decision you make in any day is an opportunity to learn something, as common as this may sound, deep within its meaning lies a profound insight in exactly what it takes to make your business idea come to reality.

The experiences you receive while making your business a complete success will combine to form your mastery.

Like an artist, continuously working on your craft will carve out your position in the industry you are getting into.

The wrong decisions, the right decision, the wins and losses all add to the kind of value you can produce for many looking for your product or service.

No one else can replicate these moments you've had, they are your very own.

Once a deep and undeniably unique understanding of what is going on in your industry is set, you can start to present the benefits and solutions of the product or service your ideal customer is your calling as a business owner and artist.

Resistance is the Enemy. Create Products, and Create Marketing Messages.

Worrying about starting a business, creating a product or creating a business marketing campaign is the most important step that makes all the difference.

An artist is known to worry about what others might think about their outcome, or a business owner may worry not making the right investments on a new marketing project. Eventually this stalling prevents unique opportunities to be presented to you.

Even as I am writing this post, I had to sit down and get in writers mode. I had to make a conscious decision to make in keeping a relevant website that offers blog posts consistently.

There is a Secret that Real Writers Know that Wanna-be Writers Don't. It's not the Writing Part that's Hard; what's Hard is Sitting Down to Write. - Steven Pressfield

The feeling of resistance is quite normal, it's constantly breaking through the resistance that makes you a professional in your industry. This consistency will give you constant opportunities to break the status quo.

These opportunities allow inspiration to take place and cause a chain reaction towards your goals.

The Muse

As you are creating products and marketing messages, eventually "The Muse" sets in and an unstoppable flow of creativity overcomes you. Making the final outcome a true sense of all previous experiences in a fine piece of work.

Just like an artist, what you create is who you are. And who you are is a mix of unique experiences.

Don't wait for inspiration, leave the door open at all times.

The Gift of Boredom

Instant Gratification is just a switch, click and scroll away.

The Gift of Boredom is something easily dismissed; because there are plenty of options that desperately want to fill these spaces for you.

And it is conveniently easy.

Searching for photos, watching youtube videos, or binge watching Netflix can be done before you recognize how you got there.

And just like that your boredom is gone.

But imagine how excruciating boredom must have been before the instant gratification age...

No internet, nothing on TV, and all your friends are busy. What to do?

Boredom can be your insight to do something in that moment of nothing.

Now, does boredom really exist?

Boredom has become an itch to scratch rather than a moment to make an important decision.

What is it that has been on your mind? What had to be done months ago? What burden can you alleviate?

These are questions that can be answered with conscious living. A life where the decision you make is crucial to reach the achievements that you know you deserve.

But the time to make these decisions are becoming easier and easier to be taken from us.

Many artists of yesteryear, before the instant gratification age, picked up a brush, a guitar a typewriter and made history.

Whatever you choose, if you can notice boredom, congratulations! this is your time.

Nothing is consuming you, and your free to create just about anything.

And now, that creation can be done online to share with the world.

Make the right decisions and fate might be on your side in creating something spectacular, or you can watch something spectacular created by someone else.

Whenever you feel bored, notice that the choice is on the table.
